DESCRIPTION:1\,800 Lincoln Scouts to Celebrate Unity\, Service\, and Tradition at St George’s Day Parade\n\nLincoln Scouts set to parade through Lincoln and fill Lincoln Cathedral for service.\nScouts’ founder Baden Powell chose St George to be their Patron Saint because he felt the qualities of the legend were the same qualities that reflected a good Scout.\nScouts of all ages will renew their promise and look ahead to making the community a better place together.\n\nThis Sunday\, 19th April\, over 1\,800 Lincoln Scouts aged 4 to 25\, alongside their dedicated adult volunteers\, will proudly take to the streets of up-hill Lincoln for the annual St George’s Day Parade – one of the longest running traditions that takes place in the city\nStarting from The Lawns\, the parade will make its way through Lincoln Castle and across the cobbled streets of Bailgate\, led by the energising sounds of two marching bands and colour party\, with a crowd of over 3\,000 spectators expected to cheer them on.\nThe parade will culminate in a powerful and moving service at Lincoln Cathedral\, where young people will have the opportunity to renew their Scout Promise in front of family\, friends\, and community leaders.\nThe service will be held in the presence of the Mayor and Sheriff of Lincoln\, making this a true celebration of community\, commitment\, and citizenship.\nQuote – Lee Evans\, Lincoln Scouts Lead Volunteer:\n“St George’s Day is always a special moment for our district.
