As the days begin to length and the sun begins to shine a little more often, it starts to feel as if Spring cannot be very far way and the ladies of Cranwell Military Wives Choir turn their thoughts to the concert season.
This year we commence the season with a joint fundraising event at Cranwell Village Hall which promises to be amazing. The winter months have seen us rehearsing songs from our repertoire as well as learning new ones
And now we’re ready! So please join us, on 16th May at 7.30pm, for a very special evening of music, friendship and community as we perform in concert at Cranwell Village Hall.
This is the first time the choir has partnered with the Village Hall in a joint fundraising event.
The choir brings together women with a military connection – not just by marriage! Some ladies are wives obviously but others are serving personnel, veterans, partners or like me a military mum! Rehearsal times provide a safe space not just to sing but to share and sometimes ease a little the burden that military life can place on those who serve or those who support those who serve; it offers a sense of stability during challenging times of deployment, builds friendships and reduces stress
The choir also brings together a wide range of musical ability – no auditions required!
Cake and laughter alongside singing itself mean you can often leave rehearsal with a spring in your step and ready to face your world!
If you’ve ever wondered what it means to be a ‘military wife or mum’ come along and here about the experience first hand from some of our members. Maybe you might be thinking about joining this amazing group of women….come along and find out more.
The Village Hall at Cranwell is a vibrant community space which is a venue for a number of community centred events such as a summer fair, free craft afternoons for children, Autumn barn dance and a Seniors Christmas Lunch. It is also a venue for hire.
Any monies raised on the night will be split between these two charitable organisations so we would welcome your support. There will be a bar as well as a raffle with some fantastic prizes to help with the fund raising.
Tickets (£12 each) are already on sale through the link on the poster or you can use the QR code
Come along, bring friends and family and celebrate the spirit of community with us.
Hope to see you there
