Jo and Sparky took over breakfast this morning as they step in for Mark Dennison, who’s currently enjoying life on a cruise.
It was a chaotic start to the week, especially for Jo. After accidentally setting off an alarm at home at 2am, things didn’t improve much when she got into the studio. Technical issues at 6am and a cup of tea spilled across the desk made for a Monday she won’t forget in a hurry. Naturally, Sparky made sure it was fully celebrated on air.
The team also got listeners talking about the bizarre ways people used to pull their teeth out as kids. One message from Faye revealed her friend used a Nerf gun to do the job. Definitely not one to try at home.
Meanwhile, Sparky had a moment of realisation as he admitted he’s slowly turning into his father-in-law, something plenty of listeners seemed to relate to.
There was time for a round of the Headline Game, plus a nod to the incredible efforts of those who took part in the London Marathon over the weekend. Closer to home, Lincoln’s league trophy celebrations also got a well-deserved mention.
Jo and Sparky are back tomorrow morning from 6 with Throwback Spinback, so make sure you’re listening.
