A major new cultural event is coming to Lincoln this autumn, as Magna Presents Lincoln Laughs launches this October, bringing a city-wide celebration of comedy to venues across the city.

Organised by Red Shoe Entertainment and headline sponsored by Magna Radio, Lincoln Laughs will showcase the very best in live comedy, turning Lincoln into a hub of entertainment, creativity and laughter with names you know and love!

From established names on the comedy circuit to rising stars, the festival will deliver a diverse programme of stand-up, special events and unique comedy experiences, all taking place across multiple venues throughout the city.

The launch marks an exciting step forward for Lincoln’s cultural scene, supporting local venues, hospitality businesses and the wider night-time economy, while positioning the city as a destination for high-quality live entertainment.

Station Founder – Tom Priestley says:

“Lincoln Laughs is exactly the kind of event this city deserves. It brings energy, creativity and a real sense of occasion to Lincoln, while supporting the fantastic venues and businesses we already have here.

At Magna Radio, we’re passionate about championing Lincolnshire and creating moments that bring people together, so to be headline sponsor of Magna Presents Lincoln Laughs is something we’re incredibly proud of.

This is just the beginning. Lincoln Laughs has the potential to become a standout event in the region’s cultural calendar, and we’re excited to be right at the heart of it from day one.”

To mark the announcement, comedian Samantha Day joined organisers Red Shoe Entertainment and John Marshall live in the studio today, giving listeners an exclusive first look at what to expect from Lincoln Laughs.

Organisers – Red Shoe Entertainment say the festival is about more than just comedy. It is about bringing people together, creating shared moments and giving Lincoln a brand new cultural highlight in the events calendar. Speaking to Lincoln Laughs Founder – Lee Newton, he said:

“Lincoln Laughs has been a vision for a long time, and it’s fantastic to finally bring it to life. We’re creating a festival that celebrates comedy in all its forms, using venues right across the city to create something truly special.

There’s such a strong appetite for live entertainment in Lincoln, and this festival is about giving people something new to experience, whether that’s discovering fresh talent or seeing established acts in unique settings.

Working with Magna Radio as headline sponsor has been a huge part of making this happen. Together, we’re building something that we hope will grow year on year and become a real highlight for Lincoln and the wider region.”
