Boston's much-loved beach is back this summer for six weeks of seaside fun, bringing a packed programme of free, inclusive community events to Central Park.
Running from 14 July to 4 September throughout the school holidays, Boston Beach will once again offer something for everyone - from young children and families to older residents and those with additional support needs.
Free themed events will take place every Wednesday from 11am to 3pm, giving people plenty of reasons to head down to the sand.
This year's programme includes:
Aged to Perfection - Wednesday 22 July
Sit back, relax, and soak up the summer in a deckchair while enjoying the sounds of live music of the 1940s and 50s. Designed with older residents in mind, this friendly event is all about unwinding, socialising, and enjoying a nostalgic atmosphere by the beach.
Pirates and Mermaids - Wednesday 29 July
A swashbuckling day of fun for younger children, featuring a "Pirate Digging for Gold" experience, a themed treasure hunt, and a fancy dress competition. Families can explore the beach while hunting for hidden mermaid clues.
The Great Green Week - Wednesday 5 August
Celebrate nature and wildlife with a variety of free, family-friendly activities. From nature trails to hands-on learning, it's a great chance to discover how to support local wildlife and enjoy Boston's green spaces.
Bears and Beats on the Beach - Wednesday 12 August
