Presenter Adam Weighell
Adam Weighell
Adam Weighell is an experienced UK broadcaster with a strong track record in commercial radio, voice work and podcasting. At Magna Radio, he brings a relaxed, engaging style and a feel-good sound to the station’s line-up, with current shows on both Magna Radio and Magna Mix. He is known for polished delivery, quick humour and a natural ability to make music-led radio feel warm, current and easy to connect with.
His radio career has taken him through some of the North West’s best-known stations. He spent seven years on Juice FM Liverpool breakfast from 2008 to 2015, moved on to Capital Liverpool breakfast for four years, and later hosted drivetime on Heart North West for five years, reaching a large regional audience across the North West. He has also continued his broadcasting work in Liverpool through In Demand Decades, where he has fronted breakfast programming with Gemma Cutting.
Away from live radio, Adam has built a wider media career as a voice artist, event host and podcaster. He works from his own home studio and records across commercial, corporate, narration and character projects. His podcast, School of Dad, reached number one in the iTunes Parenting and Comedy charts, showing the same honest, conversational style that has shaped his radio work. He has also won multiple Sony Radio awards during his broadcasting career.
Adam’s public profile also includes a strong personal story that has shaped his work beyond radio. Originally from Oxford, he moved to Liverpool in 2008 and made the city his home. He is married to Gemma and is a father of two. After his son Toby was born at 26 weeks and spent 142 days in hospital, Adam turned his diary from that period into Dear Toby, a book written to support other families facing life in neonatal care. That project added author and audiobook narrator to a career already built around connecting with people through honest storytelling
