What a way to kick off the morning. The Household Headline today came straight from Gainsborough, and honestly it had me in stitches. Young Sophie has apparently been running a full-blown hotel empire on the Monopoly board at home, calmly bankrupting her mum Amanda one rent payment at a time. Amanda has lodged her complaints, describing the accommodation as grossly overpriced with stained sheets and shocking service, and Sophie's response was to straighten her imaginary tie, pocket another fistful of Monopoly cash, and remind her mum that business is business. Brilliant. Absolute scenes.
After seven we had The Finishing Off Game, and today's result was a good one. It turns out 27% of women say they feel younger when they have blonde hair. Make of that what you will.
Then from nine it was a full hour of Nothing but the 90s, and as always the messages and memories came flooding in. There is something about that decade that just gets people talking, and this morning was no different.
If you missed any of it, the Household Headline lands just after six every morning, The Finishing Off Game follows after seven, and then we round things off with a solid hour of nostalgia from nine. Come and join us tomorrow morning, it is always worth it.
