What a show today. We kicked things off with the Household Headline, and breaking news reached us from Lincoln where local parents Mel and Luke have found themselves deep in the middle of Operation Birthday Cupcake ahead of daughter Evie's 8th birthday. By all accounts it was less Great British Bake Off and more a full-scale kitchen incident, with flour on the floor, icing somehow on the ceiling, and a washing up pile that witnesses say could last until Christmas. The good news? A handful of cupcakes did survive the chaos and are expected to make a very special appearance at Evie's celebrations. Happy birthday Evie!
The Finishing Off game threw up a brilliant result today. Turns out the majority of parents will happily sit down and play their kids' computer games when nobody's watching. No judgment here whatsoever.
Then we went full nostalgic with Nothing but the 90s, and I have to hold my hands up. I started reminiscing about a school trip to Switzerland and the CD situation, only to realise somewhere in the conversation that I had completely failed to account for the distance, the travel time, and the actual length of an album. Three CDs. Switzerland. The maths simply did not work.
There is more silliness on the way tomorrow, so make sure you are back with me.
