Magna Radio launches with a promise to Love Music, Love Lincolnshire
A brand-new radio station is set to launch this February with a clear mission to celebrate local life, local voices and great music across Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire.
Magna Radio will officially go live on Saturday 8 February, broadcasting on DAB and online. The station has been created to serve the communities it broadcasts to, combining familiar radio voices with a strong focus on local news, events, charities and businesses.
Founded by former Lincs FM broadcaster Tom Priestley, Magna Radio brings together an experienced team of presenters who have worked across BBC and commercial radio. The schedule will feature a mix of daytime shows, specialist programming and community-led content, alongside a carefully curated music playlist designed to appeal to a broad local audience.

“Magna Radio has been built with Lincolnshire at its heart. We want to create a station that people feel proud of, one that reflects the places they live, the businesses they support and the music they love. This is about putting local radio back where it belongs, right at the centre of the community.”
Alongside entertainment, Magna Radio will play an active role in supporting local organisations and charities, sharing positive stories and giving causes a platform to be heard. The station will also provide affordable advertising opportunities for local businesses, helping them connect with thousands of listeners across the region.
As part of the launch, Magna Radio is introducing the FAM, Founding Advertisers Membership, an initiative designed to thank early business supporters with added exposure, community involvement and long-term value as the station grows.
Listeners can expect regular updates on local events, interviews with community figures, competitions and collaborations with organisations across Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire. A second station, Magna Mix, will also launch alongside Magna Radio, offering an alternative music-led experience.
