Lincoln's monthly farmers' market sets up along Castle Hill on the third Saturday of every month, a Lincolnshire-only line-up of growers, bakers, brewers and food producers selling direct.
Expect seasonal fruit and veg, county-raised meat and dairy, sourdough loaves, smoked fish, honey, preserves, real ale and the kind of cakes that don't make it onto a supermarket shelf. Most stallholders are within a thirty-mile drive of Lincoln.
Cathedral Quarter's the obvious post-market detour, the Bailgate cafés are five minutes' walk; the market runs roughly 09:00 until early afternoon, with the last stalls packing up around 15:00.
