Hundleby Parish Council has been awarded £15,000 from Lincolnshire County Council's Strategic Grant Fund to put accessible toilets into the village's Parish Rooms.

The building is home to Tai Chi classes, a community choir and a community café, and is also used by neighbouring villages that don't have a hall of their own. Visitors to the church next door use its toilets too.

Volunteers started renovating the Parish Rooms seven years ago and have already replaced the kitchen and part of the roof, largely through other grants and their own fundraising.

The bid was put forward by local county councillor Cllr Philip Roberts, who has also funded a new dishwasher for the building. Parish council chair Lynette Corten-Miller said the money will help make the only community venue in the village usable by the whole community.
