Splash zone to replace the flume at Stamford Leisure Pool

Stamford Leisure Pool is getting a brand-new interactive water play area to replace its old flume, which has been out of action for months and can't be repaired at a sensible cost.

The colourful splash zone will have tipping buckets, water jets and cannons, water wheels and a triple-lane toddler slide, and is designed for children of all ages and abilities.

South Kesteven District Council is investing £190,000 from its leisure investment reserve. The flume will be taken out outside opening hours, but the play pool will need draining and refilling, so it will be closed for a short time. Dates are still to be confirmed.

It follows a recent refurbishment of the pool's changing rooms as part of a district-wide leisure upgrade.
