Roadworks at the Birchwood Avenue and Doddington Road junction

Changes are being made to the roadworks at the Birchwood Avenue and Doddington Road junction in Lincoln after complaints about long queues.

From Friday 16 October, the temporary traffic lights have been retimed. Extra manually controlled lights are also being used at the Pershore Way and Doddington Road junction at peak times, to keep traffic moving on the diversion route.

The works started on 5 October and are part of the Charterholme development. Under the planning rules, the new signal-controlled junction has to be in place as more homes are occupied. It is due to be finished in early spring 2027.

Any road closures will be signposted, with details shared in advance through the Charterholme newsletter, website and social media.
