Dido and Aeneas

“One night enjoy’d, the next forsook”

Purcell’s dramatic masterpiece Dido and Aeneas tells the tragic tale of the Queen of Carthage's fleeting encounter with the Prince of Troy, doomed by the evil Sorceress. Paired with his tongue-in-cheek accompaniment to Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream and with a live harpsichord trio, there's never been a better time to try something new right on your doorstep. Book now to make sure you don’t miss Dido’s Lament this October!
