Residents in Sleaford are being invited to have their say on a proposed neighbourhood plan that will help guide future development and planning decisions in the area.
Prepared by Sleaford Town Council with the support from the local community, the neighbourhood plan sets out a shared vision for the town and includes planning policies that will be used when determining planning applications in the area.
The neighbourhood plan has been formally submitted to the District Council to be subject to a period of publicity. The public consultation runs from Monday, November 2 to Monday, December 14, 2026.
The plan, supporting information and the response form can be downloaded from the North Kesteven District Council website.
Paper copies of the plan and response forms can be viewed at the District Council Offices, The Town Hall, The Source on Southgate, Sleaford Post Office, Sleaford Library and the New Chapel at Greylees.
Any comments on the neighbourhood plan must be submitted in writing to North Kesteven District Council using the response forms by 5pm on Monday, December 14 2026.
Completed forms should be returned via email to: NeighbourhoodPlanning@n-kesteven.gov.uk or by post to: Partnerships Team, North Kesteven District Council, District Council Offices, Kesteven Street, Sleaford, Lincolnshire, NG34 7EF.
An independent Examiner, who will report on the plan prior to a local referendum on the final document, will consider all comments received.
If you wish to be notified of the District Council’s decision on whether to accept the Examiner’s recommendation, and any future progress with the plan, please state this in your representation. Please note that all representations received will be made available to the public.
