Community first
Schools & Charities
Magna's commitment to Lincolnshire's young people and good causes.
What we do
How Magna shows up for the county
School visits
In the classroom, in the studio
Magna presenters visit Lincolnshire schools throughout the year, assemblies, careers talks, media-studies workshops, and the occasional live broadcast direct from a school hall. We bring kit; we bring presenters pupils have actually heard on the radio that morning.
Schools can also bring pupil groups to the Lincoln studio for a session on how live radio works. The visits are free, organised through the community team, and slots are released each term.
Charity partnerships
Long-running, properly supported
We work with a small group of Lincolnshire charities on sustained partnerships rather than one-off campaigns. Partner charities get a regular slot on air, presenter advocacy at fundraising events, and editorial coverage of their work through the news bulletins.
Current partners include Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance, St Andrew's Hospice, LRSN and Age UK Lincolnshire, each with a different rhythm of involvement that suits their calendar and ours.
Free promotional support
Get your good cause on air
Lincolnshire-registered charities and not-for- profit community groups can apply for free promotional support, recorded community notices, presenter shout-outs, fundraising plugs in the run-up to events.
There's no cost and no minimum size of organisation, but we do prioritise causes that serve a Lincolnshire audience and where on-air promotion will materially help fundraising or awareness. Send us a note via the form below.
